Specifically, the role of Manager will be responsible for managing team members, helping to develop the pipeline of projects and leading the efficient and high-quality delivery of modal and integrated multi-modal transport studies.Some Of Your Responsibilities Will Include:Leading the development, delivery and on-going application of a pipeline of complex strategic transport and investment planning investigations that identify strategic needs, priorities and preferred solutions for the development of passenger transport network and multi-modal transport corridors across the state.Sub-program and project leadership across multiple projects or areas of work to effectively coordinate delivery of outputs consistent with the expectations of Branch leadership.Leading project teams and project level stakeholder and community engagement involving Transport Strategy and Planning Branch, other departmental staff and external partner agencies by fostering effective working relationships and effective communication.Leading and managing the operation, welfare and technical development of the team, including active participation in performance conversations to build and support a culture of high performance, safety and well-being.Contributing to the delivery of a positive and productive working environment, actively contributing to the management of the branch and participating in ongoing business improvement initiative and management processes.Managing project level issues and leading development of public information about projects, including provision of high-level strategic advice, reports and drafting of general correspondence to the Director, Executive Director, General Manager, Deputy Director-General, Director-General and the Minister.Representing the department at meetings, forums and relevant working groups on strategic transport planning issues and providing technical guidance and advice to colleagues across the Department on corridor and passenger transport planning.To thrive in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:Productive and positive team leadership and management skills.Strong personal accountability, governance, and judgement within a strategic planning context.A strategic vision and understanding of the broader purpose of the transport system.Extensive experience in transport planning, with experience in multi-modal transport planning and/or strategy development.Proven ability to build and sustain relationships that support collaborative, customer-focused outcomes within a diverse, social, inclusive and connected team.Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in transport or land use planning, or engineering fields.Additional Benefits This Role Offers:Work and Life balance, including 'flex time' and flexible work arrangements and a working from home option.Beautiful City location close to active and public transport, with just over a 10 minute walk from Central Station.Work with a supportive team, with a high level of training and development invested in each staff member.Generous leave and superannuation.Joining the CPTP team will give you a down-to-earth working environment with a highly skilled and collaborative team, along with competitive remuneration, training and benefits.
