An exciting, permanent opportunity exists for a Manager Human Resources (HR) within the Land Transport Safety and Regulation Branch, based in Brisbane.
As the Manager HR, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction in relation to a range of human resource management initiatives and issues within the LTSR branch and the Office of the Deputy Director-General (CSSR), as well as contributing to agency outcomes.
Some of your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Manage projects and provide leadership and direction to the HR unit.Represent the agency in negotiations and discussions with other government agencies, unions, service providers and private organisations.Provide leadership and support to enable successful transition and change programs.Through workforce planning and analysis, assist senior managers to size, skill, train and align their workforces to maximise capability and enhance performance and achievement of the agency's key outcomes and oversee the evaluation of the agency's training investment.Provide expert support and high level strategic, tactical and operational HR advice to leadership teams and other senior officers based on the accurate interpretation of legislation, awards, directives and policy.
This includes providing advice on and managing complex case matters.Promote a high standard of professional practice across the agency by developing systems, processes, and reporting to ensure appropriate consistency of approach in the quality management of human resources and workplace health and safety issues across the agency.#J-18808-Ljbffr
