**The Role**:
As the Senior Manager, you will collaborate closely with the People branch senior leadership team, including the Senior Manager, Culture and Capability, and the Senior Manager, People Services, to deliver strategically aligned initiatives that promote a positive culture and support the wellbeing of the employees. You will also contribute to strategic planning, working in partnership with the Director, People, to drive organisational success.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Lead and influence**: Partner with executives, senior leaders, and employees to drive initiatives that promote health, safety, and wellbeing across the VEC.
- **Program design and execution**: Develop and implement programs addressing physical and psychological safety, injury prevention, and employee wellbeing, ensuring alignment with legislative requirements and best practices.
- **Compliance & risk management**: Oversee the implementation of strategies that ensure compliance with safety regulations, mitigate risks, and drive a proactive health and safety culture.
- **Team leadership**: Guide and mentor a team of Health, Safety, and Wellbeing (HSW) specialists, ensuring the delivery of effective solutions that support operational and strategic objectives.
- **Continuous improvement**: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by aligning HSW initiatives with the organisation's overall goals.
- **External engagement**: Engage with external regulators and industry bodies to ensure ongoing compliance and maturity in safety and wellbeing outcomes.
