About the role We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager for our Digital Services Operations team, leading the Critical Platforms team.
The successful candidate will support the Head of Digital Operations in maturing and improving the overall capability and quality of People, Processes, and Technology within the Digital Services Critical Platforms department.
This role is crucial in ensuring operational excellence and outstanding customer service at all times.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement strategies to enhance Digital Services Critical Platforms capabilities.
Lead the structural design and establishment of the Critical Platforms department.
Provide exceptional vision and leadership, guiding the team through well-architected strategies, operating plans, budgets, and communication plans.
Maximize the effectiveness of direct reports through strong mentorship and coaching.
Ensure operational excellence by setting high standards across the team.
Partner with key stakeholders to increase the visibility and influence of the Digital Services Critical Platforms team.
Lead a team of technical specialists in maintaining and supporting the telecommunications network, distribution management systems and cloud infrastructure systems.
Collaborate with Product Owners, Project Managers, Architects, and Business Leaders to ensure deliverables meet defined business outcomes.
Stay abreast of industry approaches, tools, and techniques to ensure the team remains current and innovative.
This role will be a fixed term contract for 12-months.
About You You will bring demonstrated experience working in a similar technical leadership role within a Platform Engineering environment with proven understanding of Telecommunications, IT and OT systems and experience of the technology trends in the virtualisation/ cloud industry (Azure, AWS, OIC and GCP).
More specifically you have:? Proven experience managing and maintaining Telecommunication platform services? Experience in the enhancement, management and ongoing review of systems and applications in integration, middleware, reporting or databases? Demonstrated experience managing Integration and Hosting teams? Focus on driving continuous business improvement? Required Qualifications Bachelor of Computer Science or Computing Technology Or Demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications.
