Government - State (Government & Defence) Contract/Temp The purpose of this role is to lead and manage an effective team that ensures the division's governance and assurance frameworks are legislatively compliant. Your key responsibilities will include:
Providing expert-level advice on matters across all aspects of governance, in consultation with relevant areas as required.Identifying and researching unsolved and/or emerging issues and risks to which the business unit will need to respond, and collaborating with the division to champion best practice governance and assurance solutions.Leading and providing input on reporting governance frameworks for the development, implementation, and continued monitoring of delivery of capital projects and programs.Providing comprehensive, accurate, and timely reporting on the delivery of capital projects and programs.Providing leadership, guidance, and coaching for direct reports to promote an effective team environment.The position reports to the Director, Assurance Services.
The successful person You will have demonstrated:
Experience in managing small governance and compliance teams to achieve excellent outcomes.Experience in non-financial, and preferably financial, compliance and governance management in government or private sector domains.Excellent verbal and written communication skills to prepare and deliver reports and briefs to the executive and inter-departmental agencies.Adaptive and innovative approaches to lead the development of compliance and governance management systems improvements and enhancements.How to Apply To apply for this exciting opportunity, please submit your resume including two referees who have a thorough knowledge of your capabilities, work performance, and conduct within the previous two years, and answer the following questions within your application:
