Partnering with key stakeholders, our purpose is to achieve thriving and liveable communities through planning and delivery solutions, including leveraging opportunities associated with the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.EDQ has a new, exciting opportunity for a Manager, Business Partnering to join its Business Operations team.Watch this video to learn more about EDQ's recent work and achievements:The EDQ Business Partnering team is responsible for managing all aspects of EDQ's asset portfolio, budget, forecasting, cash management, financial modelling and reporting requirements. The team also provides strategic and operational advice to the Chief Executive Officer, Executive Director - Business Operations and Executive Management group.As Manager, Business Partnering, you will ensure that the annual budget process accurately captures business issues/opportunities, and supports EDQ to achieve its long-term financial objectives.To succeed in this role, you will be able to demonstrate your ability against the full list of key capabilities outlined in the attached role description, including:Supporting the Director Business Partnering, Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director Business Operations with financial advice, analysis and information to deliver the long-term financial strategy with a focus on financial outcomes for EDQ.Coordinating the development and monitoring of the annual budget process, ensuring the process accurately captures issues and strategies advanced by the business, including negotiations with central agencies on budgetary and related financial matters.Leading the input, review and analysis of the EDQ budget model along with presenting the consolidated financial forecasts for EDQ.Leading the preparation of the finance report to the Economic Development Board and prepare reports to the EDQ Investment Committee and Audit, Risk and Performance Committee.Critically assessing project feasibilities, business cases, development projects and infrastructure programs.Undertaking analysis and monitoring of EDQ's asset portfolio, including determining benchmark returns and identifying strategies for efficient long-term investment and risk allocation.Providing commercial advice on proposed transaction structures and delivery approach.Providing strategic financial and operational advice to support the diverse business objectives of EDQ.Providing analytical reports regarding financial management for EDQ projects.Managing and coordinating the provision of effective financial services for EDQ, including budgeting, cash flow management, financial reporting and analysis across EDQ projects and programs.Preparing material for advice, reports, briefing notes, board papers, submissions and funding proposals.EDQ is also looking for people who can contribute to a workplace culture that supports inclusion and diversity, and encourages and supports employees as individuals in an inclusive environment by applying diverse and inclusive thinking to our business.
