They are now looking for a seasoned Management Accountant to join their team in Brisbane.The RoleThey are looking for a detail-oriented Management Accountant to oversee their company's financial operations.
The Management Accountant's responsibilities include preparing financial reports, performing cost analyses, preparing budget reports, and assisting with financial planning.The ideal candidate is well-versed in accounting principles, has excellent analytical skills, and experience with budget control.
Ultimately, the role of the Management Accountant is to ensure our financial management is accurate and effective.This is for a full-time role with an annual salary between $75,000 to $90,000 plus superannuation.The ResponsibilitiesPreparation and reporting of monthly management resultsAnalyse budget performance and identify opportunities for efficiencies and cost reductionsManagement of insurance and foreign resident artist withholding requirements and reportingCreation of dashboards to monitor the business' performanceMonitor and report on cash flowDevelop and implement accounting systems, policies and proceduresDocument all financial transactions and ensure the accuracy, safety and compliance of record-keeping at all timesPreparation of accounts, tax returns, Business Activity Statements, FBT, and other compliance mattersPlanning, preparation and execution of financial statements with appropriate note disclosuresPrepare information for financial statements and tax returnsMonitor cash flow, operating costs, and financial risksAdvise management on cost control and improvement initiativesLiaising with the ATO and other government departmentsPrepare reports and/or presentations to director and management by collecting, analysing, summarising accounting information and trends and reviewing current business and financial conditionsPerforming month-end close, processing relevant journals, balance sheet, intercompany processing, revenue analysis and statutory accounts production.Assist management with relevant ASIC reports & statutory tax-related compliancesContribute towards process improvement and implementation and ensure client confidentiality and privacyThe RequirementsAt least a Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance/economics from an accredited university.Must have at least 2 years of relevant finance and accounting experience within a commercial accountant capacityMust have at least 2 years accounting experience in a corporate settingMust have at least 2 years commercial experience in Quickbooks Accounting or XERO softwareMust have at least 2 years commercial experience with company income tax and GSTDemonstrated commercial acumen to understand the dynamics of a complex evolving industryDemonstrated experience in complex, integrated, computerised accounting systems;Demonstrated ability to methodically analyse sets of dataDetail-oriented, ability to multitask, work independently and prioritise tasksAbility to organise, plan and manage, together with the capacity to prioritise for self and coordinate input from others to deliver timely resultsAbility to multitask and meet deadlines
