The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) works in partnership with 15 National Boards to implement the national regulatory scheme for health professionals.
The purpose of health practitioner regulation is to protect the public by ensuring that only health practitioners who have the skills, qualifications and knowledge to provide safe care are registered.

By understanding the data that is relevant to decision making and providing in-depth analysis where necessary, Finance & Procurement supports the strong functioning of the Agency Management Committee, Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee, the National Executive, all fifteen National Boards, and our co-regulatory partners.
This is a full-time fixed term position based in our Melbourne, Brisbane offices, working a hybrid arrangement.
In this role you will:
Support Finance Business Partners in the preparation of analysis and commentary on financial performance for allocated Directorates and/or National Boards.
Provide financial and accounting support to Senior Finance Business Partners, strategic finance, financial control, and procurement.
Ensure quality transactional input to all systems.
Undertake the month-end accounting and reporting process, including the development of complex journals, review/analysis of financial results, and other month-end activities.
Develop budgets and ongoing financial forecasts (and associated data).
Prepare and deliver scheduled reports to stakeholders including Directorates, National Boards, and management.
Actively support a continuous improvement culture, both on a personal and team level (challenging the status quo).
As the ideal candidate, you will demonstrate the following:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting and CPA/CA qualification (or actively working towards this).
Experience in management accounting activities, including month-end processes and providing analysis of financial outcomes.
Experience in report preparation.
High level of written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Active participation in process improvement activities.
Experience in work environments where a high level of attention to detail is required.
Previous experience with Board reporting and managing financial budgets for projects (desirable).
Experience using Anaplan or similar programs (desirable).
