Scotch Oakburn College is seeking an experienced Maintenance Services Manager to oversee the effective and efficient operation of the college's maintenance and facilities services.
In this full-time, permanent role based in Launceston, TAS, you will be responsible for managing a team of maintenance professionals to ensure the smooth running of the college's facilities.
What you'll be doing Manage and oversee a team of maintenance professionals and trades assistants to deliver high-quality, timely servicesDevelop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans to ensure the college's facilities are well-maintained and in compliance with safety regulationsLiaise with College leadership to identify and prioritise maintenance projects and initiativesMonitor and report on maintenance budgets, ensuring cost-effective service deliveryEnsure all maintenance activities are carried out safely and in accordance with relevant policies and proceduresImplement continuous improvement initiatives to optimise maintenance processes and proceduresProvide technical guidance and support to the maintenance team, including coaching and mentoringWhat we're looking for Substantial experience (5+ years) in a maintenance management or supervisory role, preferably within an educational or institutional settingStrong technical knowledge and understanding of building maintenance, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systemsProven ability to lead and manage a team of maintenance professionals, including scheduling, budgeting and performance managementExcellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritise and balance competing demandsStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levelsTertiary qualifications in a relevant field (e.g.
