Uniting Country SA - Caring for Country People Position Description: Position Location: Port Augusta Position Status: Part Time FTE 0.8 Closing Date for Applications: 1st December 2024 The Maintenance Officer role will provide support to programs and sites regarding the ongoing corrective and preventative maintenance required throughout all Uniting Country SA sites.
The Maintenance Officer position will support the Maintenance Supervisor by contributing to the provision of timely facilities maintenance, project implementation and property services ensuring high standards of workmanship and safe work practices are maintained within relevant legislation.
Projects undertaken within this role will be completed on time, within specified budgets and in accordance with any terms and conditions set out by legislation or required in any contract.

Skills and Experiences: You will: Review and report on condition of assets to assist with continual improvement.
Plan and organise workload to achieve specified outcomes within set time frames.
Provide maintenance support to programs and sites in a professional and timely manner.
It is essential for you to have: Current Australian Drivers Licence.
Knowledge of general carpentry.
General knowledge of the building industry.
Two (2) years relevant experience, in a paid or voluntary capacity.
Completion of a carpentry trade certificate will be highly regarded.
You may also need to be available for some out of hours work and travel between Uniting Country SA sites or interstate as required.
