12 Month, Contract Role / 7.30-4.15 (45min lunch) Mon to Friday and 7.30-1pm with no lunch (75 hours a fortnight)
We are seeking a new Maintenance Officer to join our Home Maintenance & Landscaping team for our Social Enterprise, reporting to our Home Maintenance & Landscaping Manager.
This is a max term, 12 month contract position with the chance to supervise/coach supported employees on home maintenance tasks in the community for our customers.
We are looking for:
Demonstrated experience in a general maintenance/repair position, ideally supported with a related trade qualificationDemonstrated understanding of job quoting and ensuring that work is delivered on time and within budgetCommitted to the human rights of people with a disability and social justice principles, access and equityDemonstrated commitment to teamwork and the construction of a supportive, collaborative work environment with the ability to guide, coach, and develop employeesExcellent communication skills including the ability to explain best working practices to supported employees as requiredExceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build credible relationships and resolve conflictThe ability to work under pressure and problem solveAbility to work within a team and independentlyIf you would like to contribute your work and life skills to make a difference helping people with a disability and seeing them thrive as you build their skills, this may be the role for you. Candidates would be required to obtain an NDIS check, have full rights to work in Australia, at least 3 Covid vaccinations (unless medically exempt), and hold a current, valid driver's license.
