As our next Maintenance Leading Hand, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESLeading your crew and ensuring everyone works safely and efficiently.Performing servicing, repairs, and maintenance in accordance with Thiess servicing, lubrication, and maintenance systems documentation.Sourcing technical information including technical bulletins, OEM and computer-based systems, and being able to read and understand schematics – electrical and hydraulic.Ensuring good housekeeping standards are maintained at all times.Undertaking quality work.Stepping up and covering for the Maintenance Supervisor in their absence.Maintaining radio communications for shift activities.Managing parts requirements for work and warehouse control on night shift.BENEFITSAttendance Bonus - $450 paid fortnightly.Retention Payment from 1st July 2024, $10,000 paid in 52 weekly payments, inclusive of super.Permanant full-time position.7/7 Even time, lifestyle roster.12-hour day and night shift.Full camp facilities provided BIBO from Townsville.Living out of camp allowance, if applicable.Thiess' commitment to training & development.Salary sacrifice options – Flights & novated leasing.Range of corporate discounts including health insurance (Medibank), travel & retail products.ABOUT YOUTo be considered for this role you are required to have:Relevant trade qualifications.Experience working as a leading hand in the maintenance field on an operational mine.Post-trade operational mine site experience.Experience in general service, maintenance, breakdowns, component change outs, and proper diagnostics.Computer system JDE.Oil analysis and interpretation.OEM computer-based systems.Experience with CAT, Komatsu, and Hitachi Heavy Earth Moving Equipment.A commitment to a positive safety culture.Alignment to our principles: Integrity, Accountability, Innovation & Delivery.ABOUT USThiess works with clients in Australia, Asia, and the Americas in the dynamic field of open-cut and underground mining.
