This role will take full ownership and responsibility in delivering the overall site Maintenance strategy set out by the site Engineering & Reliability Manager.What you'll doDirect management and coordination of all planned and unplanned maintenance activities executed by shift maintenance trades on site as well as any external contractors/service providers for breakdown maintenance.Execution of maintenance work, whilst maintaining compliance to Safety and Quality standards.Partnering with the on-site Maintenance Planner, Reliability Specialists, Automation and the Stores Procurement Officer, to ensure site trades scope of any potential corrective maintenance activities.Identify methods to reduce reactive maintenance and unplanned downtime recurrence by leading, coaching and mentoring Maintenance trades in best-in-class maintenance and continuous improvement practices.Propose changes to the PM strategy by working in with Reliability Specialists and the Maintenance Planner, to transition to a proactive/preventative/predict mindset.Monitoring and adherence to the R&M budget.What will help you succeedProven ability in creating a step change in reliability results.Proven leadership skills.Excellent communication as this role will require constant escalation to site leadership and consultation with site trades and external expertise/service providers.Ability to coach and develop, monitor and measure performance and provide direct feedback to multi-disciplinary trades teams.Ability to balance reliability improvements and site output, whilst still maintaining adherence to R&M budget expenditure.Experience in Maintenance/Reliability/Engineering leadership within a high-speed manufacturing environment (FMCG or logistics).Experience managing multi-disciplinary trades teams of greater than 5 per shift.Experience within meat processing, dairy or other similar environments.Engineering and/or post trade qualifications are desirable.What we're aboutWelcome to RPF, where we believe in keeping it Real.Since 1994, we have been Australia and New Zealand's pioneers in fresher dog and cat nutrition.
