* Day Shift & Afternoon Shift Position available * Permanent Role We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter and/or A Class Electrician to join the team on a permanent basis at our client site, Orora Glass. Orora Glass is a State-of-the-Art glass facility based in Kingsford, SA that produces high quality glass packaging solutions, and creates more than 950 million bottles a year for some of the biggest brands in beer, wine and soft drinks. The Packaging Technician is responsible for operating all packaging plant and machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
This is coupled with undertaking maintenance on the machinery to prevent downtime where possible.
This role also requires the operator operate a forklift and to load/unload incoming trucks to site, move packaging and consumables to the manufacturing facilities and deliver finished/packaged products to assigned storage areas. Duties will include: * Attend to breakdowns on machinery and undertake repairs as required * Undertake preventative maintenance on machinery as required * Asses and diagnose breakdown of machinery, * Escalate any repairs unable to complete to relevant department as required * Load and Unload packaging from trucks * Unload pallets of finished goods from production conveyors and stack/store in designated areas * Retrieves pallets from warehouse for quality review * Loads consumables to wash plant * Check quality of incoming and outgoing product/materials and report any non-compliances to supervisor * Use of RF Scanner to accurately record pallet movement * Inspect machinery every shift to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance * Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs * Operate Wash pallet dividers and pallets * Undertake manual handling duties * Other duties as directed Essential Criteria: * Trade qualified – Maintenance Fitter or A class electrician * Machine operation experience Desirable: * High Risk Forklift License Personal Attributes: * Initiative and self-drive * Passion for learning new things * Strong problem solving skills * Highly organised and a quick learner * Hold a high level of attention to detail and accuracy To apply, please click apply now to submit your resume by COB 27th August 2019.
