Job Details:
Tyson Foods Australia (trading as Australian Food Corporation) is one of Australia's leading food processing plants. Tyson Foods Australia is situated in Coominya, a 30-minute drive North of Ipswich in the Shire of Somerset.

The Position:
In this busy and exciting role, you will utilize mechanical engineering expertise to maintain and enhance the performance of the plant and equipment. You will provide first-class flexible support to production requirements by undertaking planned preventative and reactive breakdown maintenance, while ensuring established health and safety procedures are continually followed.

Key Responsibilities:

Service and repair of plant machinery to ensure all equipment can meet the requirements of the production plan.
Mechanical repairs and fabrication.
Conduct inspections and implement preventative maintenance.
Communicating with machine operators and production supervisors.
Maintaining high work standards in a food production environment.
Comply with all work health and safety requirements.


About You:

Trade certified Maintenance Fitter and Turner (multi-skilled trades will be looked upon favorably, particularly electrician).
Competency in welding.
Excellent diagnostic skills.
Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
Ability to work effectively and follow procedures unsupervised.
Ability to work on a rotating roster including day shift, afternoon shift, weekends, and call-outs.
Experience in the manufacturing/food processing industry is advantageous but not essential.
Qualifications in refrigeration or electrical trades would be advantageous but not essential.
