About the OpportunityWe are seeking a trade-qualified Electrician - Electrical Maintenance to join our Maintenance team at our Clarence Gardens site to provide electrical support. We produce White and flavored milks, both fresh and ESL. Maintenance Fitters with experience in Food Manufacturing will be considered.
Your primary responsibilities will be to carry out preventative, continuous improvement and breakdown maintenance, across a fast-paced production facility.
Work as part of a skilled trades team – with other fitters and electricians and support staff. This is a roster/shift-based role with attractive wages. Some paid overtime is required. Some shift rotation may be required.
Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
General Maintenance for the processing, packaging, cooling & heating systemsMonitor plant and equipment using the Scada control system and act on any alarms or irregularities that may occurResponding to breakdowns in a timely manner to minimise downtime.Investigating failures and making recommendations to reduce risk and improve systems/processes;Actively be involved in safety and continuous improvement activitiesEnsure all work meets engineering standardsEnsure that relevant documentation relating to the areas of responsibility are maintained to preset standards.Project work as required.About YouTo be considered for this position, you will require:
A current SA A class electrical license (or fitter trade)Dual Trade (electrician-fitter) is considered a plusStrong troubleshooting skills (electrical faults)Commitment to Safety, make it a PriorityAbility to interpret technical drawingsWork needs to be completed in line with Food Safety requirementsResponsible for engineering support to standards and expectationsFurther skills advantageous to this role:
Previous experience in manufacturing, ideally in the food, dairy, packaging or process-related industriesExperience maintaining and troubleshooting PLC controlled equipmentHydraulic and Pneumatic systems qualifications and/or relevant experiencePLC programming experienceKnowledge of SCADA systems and automation will be highly regardedSome experience using SAPYou will be a team player, with a positive can-do attitude that has the ability to build relationships, solve problems and achieve results, which will be clear factors in your success.
