The Role

Reporting to the Electrical and Instrumentation Superintendent, the Electrical Engineer is responsible for ensuring plant electrical, instrumentation and control equipment meets statutory and regulatory requirements. Your responsibilities will include the following:

Develops projects for plant when required and executes and controls these until completion.
Develop and implement strategies to ensure plant is reliant and compliant to standards
Report all hazards and take corrective action to eliminate potentially unsafe acts and conditions in any area of operation.
Utilize process knowledge to ensure optimum electrical plant performance to meet production rates.
Recommend effective solutions on the safe, reliable and cost-efficient operation of the plant to meet specified electrical standards.

About You

Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering
Extensive experience involved with the maintenance of electrical equipment, instrumentation and control systems in mineral or chemical processing plants will be highly regarded
Experience in maintenance and operation of high voltage distribution networks and equipment is essential in this role
