Join our team as a Maintenance Coordinator! Are you passionate about delivering innovative, sustainable solutions for water and wastewater asset management? If so, we invite you to apply for the Maintenance Coordinator position at Redland City Council! This role is all about driving continuous improvement across planned and reactive maintenance programs, supporting capital projects, and helping ensure compliance with environmental and legislative standards.
Guided by our Values, your responsibilities will include: Leading the delivery of an effective, proactive maintenance program for water and wastewater assets.Managing a small team and contractors to keep assets running smoothly and efficiently.Using data to plan ahead, spot trends, and improve how we work.Preparing reports, estimates, and updates to support good decision-making.Working closely with other teams, neighbouring councils, and government partners.Keeping things on track with budgets, timelines, and compliance.Promoting safe, innovative, and customer-focused ways of working.What we're looking for: We're looking for a motivated self-starter with a strong track record in leading maintenance programs, managing teams, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced and evolving environment. You'll bring excellent communication and collaboration skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to guide both internal and external stakeholders through complex operational and legislative requirements (think Local Government Act and other relevant State and Commonwealth legislation). With solid experience in asset maintenance, contractor management, and team leadership, you'll be confident navigating competing priorities, delivering high-quality outcomes, and promoting a strong culture of safety, innovation, and customer service.

You'll have a current C Class Driver's Licence.You'll have completed unit CPCCWHS1001 (prepare to work safely in the construction industry), or be willing to complete it.You'll be able to participate in the afterhours on call roster and are you available for site related operations over weekends, public holidays and overtime work.Successful applicants will be asked to consent to a police check.
