You will be responsible for the day-to-day response to identify effects and carry out necessary repairs to plant and equipment within the whole site.
Which could include general repairs, maintenance inspections, installation of various medical equipment & consumables throughout the site, daily site water testing etc.
As the Maintenance Assistant you work effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility while building and sustaining positive relationships with hospital employees and other key stakeholders.
Your work is never too urgent or important that you cannot take the time to do it safely.
Your ability to problem solve and complete tasks with a high quality of service despite time constraints will see you succeed in this position.

This role requires shift work to ensure 24-hour coverage at the hospital, with 12-hour shifts across day and night.
You'll receive your schedule in advance, working 42 hours per week with the possibility of up to 5 consecutive days off between shifts.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for higher earnings, with penalty rates for shift work.
You will also be eligible for discounted parking onsite (dependent on availability).
An additional advantage of working shifts is the opportunity to significantly boost your earnings, with the role offering an hourly rate of $42.32.

To be successful in this role you'll have: Trade, or relevant qualification or equivalent experience with general building maintenance.
Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
Ability to work on own initiative and without close supervision as well as with a team.
Excellent time management and stakeholder management skills.
