M&E Reliability - Specialist Position overview Reporting to Jarrad Legg, Mechanical & Electrical Reliability Team Manager, you'll be part of a supportive, multi-disciplinary team that is responsible for ensuring safety, compliance, and reliability across Yarra Valley Water's existing Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) asset base.
This role will work in partnership with the Team Manager to provide specialist technical leadership in identifying key requirements and programs for maintaining and improving the reliability of M&E assets, improving our standards, and ensuring continuity of customer service and protection of our natural environment.

Your key responsibilities Take a strategic lead role in the practical implementation of our Asset Management Framework to future-proof our service delivery. Coordinating the planning and delivery initiation of projects and programs to ensure the safety, compliance, and reliability of our assets. Collaborating closely with Operations, Maintenance and Asset Planning teams to proactively identify opportunities for efficiency and reliability improvements. Forming strong external partnerships within the industry to advance our knowledge of best practice M&E asset management. Supporting the technical capability uplift and development of the M&E Reliability team members through providing technical guidance, advice, coaching, mentoring, and training. Has 7+ years Water Industry experience with a breadth of experience across the water, sewer and treatment plant asset life-cycle. Has technical leadership experience, and is proactive and comfortable supporting team members, partners and other stakeholders through technical ambiguity in a complex operating environment. Can quickly form strong relationships and thrive in collaborative environments where diverse perspectives are valued. Ability to apply technical expertise and risk management principles to solve the right problems at the right time and in the right way. Strategic thinker, who can bring together concepts and people to develop integrated outcomes for our assets. Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, science or other technical field.
