Long Day Care Director | KU Maidstone - Full TimeTeaching - Early Childhood (Education & Training)Full timeKU Maidstone is a new, purpose-built service designed to provide exceptional care and education to the local community open from Monday-Friday between 7:00am and 6:00pm. There is parking on site that employees can utilise and has multiple bus stops close by with various routes running by.The service offers long day care, funded kindergarten, and allied health services, all within a beautifully crafted environment that caters specifically to the needs of Maidstone's children and families. Our goal is to nurture each child's interests and strengths through intentional and enriching experiences.Central to our philosophy is the development of strong, respectful, and reciprocal relationships with children and their families. We implement the key educator approach, which ensures continuity and consistency of care, helping to build a sense of trust and connection.The RoleIn this role, you'll inspire and motivate a dedicated team, leveraging your deep pedagogical knowledge and experience in building strong relationships with children and families. Your responsibilities will include managing rosters, mentoring staff, overseeing daily routines, and implementing policies, all while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. You will work Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day, Monday to Wednesday you will be on the floor teaching and Thursday and Friday will be dedicated to administrative duties.You'll be supported by an experienced service administrator and a robust Education and Quality team, including an education support manager, learning and development facilitator, and other support services across the organization.This is a 12-month parental leave cover position offering a competitive director's allowance, a monthly rostered day off, and the usual annual leave entitlements.
