The Role
As an APS5 Logistics Assurance Officer you will be required to work independently with limited supervision in the delivery of the Supply Chain logistics testing program across supported dependencies. Additionally you may be responsible to assist in the provision of guidance on Supply Chain management policy, the development of management action plans, and liaising with other Government agencies. The role includes working across both the Joint Logistic and Garrison Support Contracted units towards achieving Supply Chain compliance with Logistic policy.
The role requires skills in influencing people with an ability to influence outside their own area of control, and building and maintaining business relationships. Knowledge of the current Military Integrated Logistic Information System (MILIS), Excel and Outlook is desirable, but the ability to provide training to the successful applicant is possible when required. Strong data analysis and report writing skills are an essential requirement to fulfil this role.
About our Team
The Directorate of Logistics Assurance Programs (DLAP) is embedded within the Logistics Assurance Branch and provides the Commander of Joint Logistics with the capability to influence logistics performance across Defence. To do this, the Directorate monitors the health of the overall Defence logistics system at an organisational level. DLAP is responsible for the overall management and technical control of the Defence Logistics Compliance and Assurance Framework which includes six independent assurance streams. The requirement across the streams include scheduling, coordination, and the execution and reporting of Defence's Inventory Assurance Sampling Programs annually.
The team is geographically dispersed across the country located in key Logistics Business Units. The main function is to provide compliance and assurance over Defence's Supply Chain policy through a sound governance regime.
Our Ideal Candidate
As an APS5 Logistics Assurance Officer you will be required to work independently with limited supervision in the delivery of the Supply Chain logistics testing program across supported dependencies. Additionally you may be responsible to assist in the provision of guidance on Supply Chain management policy, in the development of management action plans, and liaising with other Government agencies.
You will have relevant experience in Logistics Lead Audit and experience working with and a sound understanding of electronic supply chain management systems. You will have strong administrative and organisational skills, with an ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at various levels and across teams. You will be able to operate in a dynamic environment where multiple activities occur simultaneously with tight deadlines. Knowledge of Defence logistics information systems would be advantageous.

Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at Baseline Vetting level.
