Position: Loader & Forklift Operator (Backup Baler Operator) Location: Hemmant, QLD
Hourly Rate: $50.00 + penalties
Role Overview:
In this multi-functional role, you will primarily operate loaders and forklifts to support production flow, with additional duties as a backup baler operator to ensure smooth operations. This role is perfect for candidates with versatile machinery skills and flexibility.
Key Responsibilities:
Loader Operations: Maintain optimal feed rates for production. Manage bays to prevent cross-contamination. Perform daily maintenance, including greasing, refuelling, and filter cleaning. Forklift Operations: Clear production lines and assist with baler operations as needed. Support container loading schedules and manage finished product handling. Baler Operations (Backup): Step in as needed to manage the baling and wrapping process. Oversee the loading of baled materials into shipping containers. Ensure communication with the plant controller and shift leader to maintain production flow. General Duties: Conduct weekly high-pressure cleaning of coolers. Complete daily pre-inspection reports and maintain cabin cleanliness. Promote safety culture by participating in HSE reviews and reporting incidents. Skills and Experience Required: High-risk work licence (forklift) (Mandatory). Relevant unit of competency for heavy mobile plant operations (Loader Operations). Experience in baler operations (desirable). Strong attention to detail, organisation, and the ability to work independently and in a team. Proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable approach to varied tasks. Pre-employment Requirements: Must pass a drug & alcohol test and a medical examination.
