The Position Commencing Term One 2025 Permanent Full Time Position 2 Point Coordinator Position - Leading Literacy in Yrs 3 - 6 Includes a class teaching load Our Lady of Mount Carmel is a co-educational systemic primary school with a population of approximately 400 students located in Wentworthville.

About the Opportunity: We are looking for an experienced, creative, highly motivated teacher for the position Literacy Leader Yr 3 - Yr 6 within the school.
In this role you will be responsible for leading and supporting the delivery of high quality personalised learning and teaching embedded in the Catholic worldview.
You will also work closely with a stage to support staff and students in learning and behaviour.
As the Literacy Leader you would be required to work along the K-2 Instruction to support holistic delivery of the English curriculum and implementation of the school goal.
Experience leading school communities in Literacy would be an advantage.
The Leader of Learning will fit the following criteria: Support and implement the goals and values of Catholic education and the strategic priorities of the School. Have a high standard of competency and proficiency as a teacher and be familiar with best practice, especially in developing the skills of students. Demonstrated experience in leading, communicating and working collaboratively with teams to plan, prepare, deliver and evaluate learning. Drive the pedagogical vision of the School within the broader educational life of the School leading staff with vision, purpose and a strong commitment to excellence. Be committed to delivering a child-centred approach to education, where the students are actively engaged in the learning. Be committed to ongoing professional learning as a member of a professional learning community. Be willing to contribute to the broader aspects of school life.
