As we continue to expand our operations, we are looking for a Linux SysAdmin to join our team and contribute to our infrastructure and operational excellence.Position SummaryAs a Linux Systems Administrator, you will be responsible to provide weekday coverage for management, support, and troubleshooting of our Linux server environment. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure, particularly during the weekday hours when our business operations require continuous system availability and reliability. You will work closely with senior administrators and IT support staff to monitor system performance, resolve issues, and implement system enhancements.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and maintain virtual and physical Linux servers, ensuring system performance and availability.Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Linux-based systems and software.Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for system issues, working closely with IT team members and customers.Implement system updates, patches, and security measures to maintain system integrity and security.Document system configurations, changes, and procedures to ensure effective knowledge management and continuity.Collaborate with the IT team on projects and initiatives to enhance system capabilities and infrastructure.RequirementsWorking regular shifts during weekday daytime hours in Sydney, Australia and sometimes weekend shift to cover team members shifts.Familiarity with Linux operating systems (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat, Debian) and basic system administration tasks.Understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), common web serving technologies (Apache, nginx, varnish, squid, haproxy, etc.) and basic security practices.Content Delivery Network knowledge and experience highly desired.Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on providing high-quality customer service.We Offer:Competitive base salary with incentive plan.Opportunities for career growth and professional development.Dynamic and collaborative work culture with a supportive team.Cutting-edge technology and resources to help you succeed in your role.Fully remote work environment to allow for work-life balance.Annual retreat, internet and UberEATS allowance (or similar).Annual Remote work Allowance.Products and Software We Use:Ansible / CentOS / Nagios / Grafana / Nginx / Varnish / DockerPagerDuty / ZendeskGoogle Workspace / Slack / Zoom / Notion / BasecampIf you are a driven, results-oriented individual with a passion for technology, then apply now to join our team at CacheFly as a Linux SysAdmin.
