DescriptionAbout the role Aerometrex is seeking a meticulous and technically skilled LiDAR Processing Officer to join our Maroochydore team.
In this role, you will work within a dynamic office environment to process and validate LiDAR datasets, contributing to the generation of high-quality geospatial products.
You'll perform GNSS processing, LiDAR point cloud classification, and quality assurance checks while ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the data.
Your key responsibilities include Processing LiDAR datasets from point cloud extraction to final product deliveryEnsuring classification quality and GNSS accuracy through quality assurance toolsConducting strip alignment and classification QA checksGenerating and reviewing derived products such as DEMs, DSMs, and classified point cloudsManaging timelines and delivering reports within set deadlinesEnsuring the integrity and backup of datasetsAbout you / Skills and experience We are looking for candidates who bring:
Bachelor's degree in GIS, spatial sciences, environmental science, or related field2+ years of experience in data processing is preferableStrong communication skills and proficiency with office software (Excel, Word, etc.
