Real Time Law is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join our team in Helensvale. The role will start as a casual position with 3 days per week at a minimum of 6 hours per day. This may increase depending on workflow. If you feel you could fit into this environment and have the required skills listed below, then please make an enquiry.About YouWe are looking for the following experience:A minimum of 3 years' experience in a law firm.Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.A professional and friendly telephone manner.A commitment to providing quality client experiences.High level communication and organisation skills.Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise work.The ability to work autonomously and efficiently.The ability to follow directions and a willingness to assist colleagues.Experience with Will drafting is an advantage but not essential.Experience with file management systems is essential, experience with Smokeball is an advantage (similar to LEAP).Tasks and ResponsibilitiesAnswering phone calls and taking messages.Performing regular follow-ups to new client enquiries.Calendar management including making appointments with clients and sending reminders to the solicitors and to clients.Maintaining electronic and hardcopy filing systems.Electronic and physical file archiving.Preparing invoices and following up unpaid invoices.Assisting with the preparation of documents and correspondence.Following up with clients on anything outstanding and keeping track of each matter and when tasks are due.Undertaking research and enquiries when required.Managing regular file reviews within EMR program.RemunerationMarket rates paid dependent on skills and expertise of successful applicant.ApplicationsIf your experiences match the above criteria and you're interested in working with us, please provide a resume (no more than 2 pages) and a cover letter (no more than 1 page) outlining your experience and suitability.We are looking for someone who wants a career in legal support; unfortunately, law school students or graduates hoping to transition to the position of lawyer will not be considered.
