NSW Health has established a Single Digital Patient Record (SDPR) which will provide a secure, holistic and integrated view of the care a patient receives across the NSW Health system.
This program will transform how people experience and deliver care across the state, providing benefits for the people of NSW and the NSW Health workforce regardless of their location and role.
The SDPR will unify access to patient clinical information in one view, helping to provide connected, transparent and safe care for any person at any public healthcare setting statewide.
All NSW Health care teams and clinicians will securely access the same information about a patient in real time from one source.
About the Role The Single Digital Patient Record Implementation Authority (SDPRIA) has been established to coordinate the implementation of the SDPR across NSW Health.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Legal Manager to work within the SDPRIA.
Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will provide complex and sensitive legal advice on significant SDPR matters such as contract, commercial, privacy, compliance and governance.
You will liaise with senior executives across the Health system and other government agencies on "whole of government" legal issues to ensure the Health system's obligations are recognised.
You will develop policies and procedures and negotiate ICT agreements, playing a critical role in the continuous improvement of the strategy for the SDPR.
This role demands a forward-thinking approach with a strong focus on negotiating to deliver value.
You will serve as a key influencer, building strong partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders to enhance the overall success of the SDPRIA.
About you To be successful, you will have:
Legal qualifications, admission as a Legal practitioner to the Supreme Court of NSW and a current practising certificate from the NSW Law Society Extensive legal experience at a senior level in contract, commercial and other matters Applied analytical skills, including the ability to analyse and interpret complex information from numerous sources, prepare and present analysis and reports. Excellent organisational skills and experience working in a high volume and demanding professional environment with a capacity to prioritise, multi-task, and deliver business goals. Extensive experience in influencing and negotiating with the ability to deal with challenges creatively and achieve business-focused solutions.
