We're looking for An experienced and passionate legal assistant / law clerk / paralegal to help us maintain our high standard. As the newest addition to our team, the legal assistant will play a pivotal role in keeping the office functioning efficiently, from coordinating meetings to maintaining complete and accurate files. This person will build collaborative working relationships with our solicitors and be a strong liaison with our clients. The ideal candidate is organized, diligent, and can work both independently and as part of a team. This is a challenging role with varied responsibilities and meaningful opportunities for learning and growth.
Objectives of this role Ensure the office is running smoothly at all times Support solicitors in optimizing their billable time Track deadlines to ensure legal documents are filed in a timely manner Represent the organization with professionalism and integrity when dealing with clients and court officials Maintain strict confidentiality of organizational and client information The role This is a permanent part-time role – 3 days per week – to start as soon as possible The role includes but is not limited to:
Proofing/editing documents Drafting correspondence/documents Filing documents with Courts Perform legal and background research when requested Attending to client calls Diary/email management Typing/transcribing dictations Electronic file management General office duties Required skills and qualifications 2+ years experience working in a fast-paced professional environment (preferably in a legal environment) Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Proficient in Microsoft programs Excellent attention to detail Strong organizational skills Client-focused with a confident and professional telephone manner MUST LOVE DOGS Benefits Award rate salary – dependent on skills and experience Leaders who are genuinely interested in your growth and development An annual well-being day Birthday lunch Monthly team-building activities Job Type: Part-time
