Provide critical support to a well known practices Join a supportive team with great benefits and working conditions About Our Client Michael Page Legal is pleased to be offering a range of Legal Assistant opportunities partnering with multiple clients across Canberra's legal sector to expand their support teams.We are offering opportunities for Legal/ Executive Assistants from junior to senior levels to join a range of firms, from specialised boutiques to large top tier firms. Each of our clients are looking for organised, detail-oriented, professional, and team orientated individuals to contribute to their success and support the team. Roles are available across a variety of practice areas, including Personal Injury, Employment, Commercial, and Family Law, with salaries to match experience. Job DescriptionManaging and coordinating calendars, including scheduling client appointments, meetings, and court dates.Preparing and formatting legal documents and correspondence with a high level of accuracy.Conducting file management, including opening, closing, and maintaining both electronic and physical client files.Assisting with document preparation for court filings and ensuring compliance with relevant court deadlines.Handling incoming calls and emails, responding to client inquiries, and directing communications to the appropriate lawyer.Organising travel arrangements and itineraries for Partners and lawyers when required.Managing billing and invoicing processes, including preparing client accounts and processing payments.Assisting with the preparation of briefing materials and coordinating with external parties.Maintaining confidentiality and managing sensitive client information with discretion.Assisting with office administration tasks, such as ordering supplies and maintaining a tidy office environment.Providing general administrative support to lawyers and the broader team to ensure smooth workflow and efficient practice management. The Successful Applicant The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented and highly organised professional with a strong ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced legal environment. You will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and demonstrate a proactive approach to providing support to lawyers and clients. A background in legal administration, coupled with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and delivering high-quality work, will make you an ideal fit for this role.Ideally minimum 2 years experience in a law firm is preferred.
