Legal Administrator (12-month parental leave cover)Gordon Legal is a firm with a difference, defined by its commitment to social justice and exemplary legal assistance.
We are looking for an experienced, passionate and dedicated Legal Administrator in Industrial and Employment Law to join our team based in our Australian Nursing & Midwifery Federation (ANMF) Elizabeth Street office.
This is a part-time role, 4 days per week, covering a 12-month parental leave.
Job tasks and responsibilities Provide administrative support to members of the ANMF Industrial and Employment Law team and our clients;Draft court documents, prepare/compile briefs, letters and correspondence;Diary, email, task and travel management;Arrange meetings and appointments;Liaise with clients, law firms, barristers, court staff and other third parties;Develop and maintain billing and invoicing systems;General file management and work with lawyers to advance files;Maintain practice management system;Coordinate presentations, events, conferences and mediations;Monitor critical dates to ensure deadlines are met;Handle telephone, face to face, general enquiries and requests from clients;Maintain data records and generate reports;Open and close files.Skills and experience At least 2 years of legal support (secretary/assistant) experience is required;Confident and personable with a genuine interest in Industrial and Employment Law;Excellent interpersonal, organisational, planning, verbal and written communication skills;The ability to develop strong relationships both internally and externally at all levels;High level of professionalism and exceptional client service skills and ability to handle sensitive/confidential information with appropriate care;Well organised and consistently completes projects on time with great attention to detail;Excellent time management and multitasking/prioritisation abilities;Technology-savvy and proficient in all Microsoft Office applications;Exposure to Industrial and Employment Law is highly advantageous.Why Gordon Legal?
