The School of Applied Psychology currently has 50+ academic staff and multiple research fellows across three campuses (Mount Gravatt, Gold Coast and South Bank), whose teaching and research interests span counselling, suicidology, health services management, and psychology areas encompassing clinical, social, developmental, cognitive, forensic, health, organisational, and experimental domains.
Job DescriptionHealth Services Management (HSM) is a discipline within the School of Applied Psychology and each team member plays a significant role in the delivery of highly regarded, professionally accredited teaching programs, including Master and Graduate Certificate programs, as well as micro-credentials.
Depending on the educational qualifications and professional background of the successful candidate, the appointment will be at either Lecturer Level B or Senior Lecturer Level C.
This is a fixed term (12 months), full time position, primarily based at the Griffith University South Bank campus.
Teaching will be the main focus, in key domains related to Health Services Management.
This position can also be available on a fractional part-time basis. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may, on occasion, be required to work across other campus locations.
Griffith University's campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
Salary RangeThe full-time equivalent base salary will be Academic Lecturer (Level B) range $110,464 - $131,180 per annum + 17% superannuation.
The total FTE package will be in the range $129,243 - $153,481 per annum.
The full-time equivalent base salary will be Academic Senior Lecturer (Level C) range $135,319 - $156,035 per annum + 17% superannuation.
The total FTE package will be in the range $158,323 - $182,561 per annum.
QualificationsThe successful candidate will:
Possess a doctoral or masters qualification of equivalent accreditation and standing and / or significant progress towards completion of a relevant doctoral degree.For Senior Lecturer, the successful candidate would require demonstrated expertise and experience in leading and managing courses / modules and assessment within HSM curricula.In addition, you will have demonstrated ability to:
Foster an outstanding student experience and encourage active participation and engagement in learning and teaching across postgraduate programs, facilitating high quality, student-centred learning activities.Undertake leadership responsibilities in the development and delivery of HSM educational content.Why Griffith?
