We have 2 unique fixed term career opportunities available within the School of Computer and Mathematical Science in the exciting field of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, offering a balanced teaching and research load.
In this role, the successful candidates will be joining a team of experts where our proud reputation is built upon impactful research that pushes the boundaries of how we design, use, and engage with technology, as well as our outstanding, industry-driven undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
To be successful at Level B we are seeking:
PhD in computer science or a closely related discipline, or equivalent qualification and experience Demonstrated research ability to support the School's research in artificial intelligence and machine learning.
A strong track record of publications in high-quality scientific journals or other dissemination venues in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
Inter-disciplinary research will be well regarded.
Demonstrated ability to teach effectively using evidence-based pedagogy that promotes student engagement Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English with students and staff Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment Ability to carry out administrative duties effectively and efficiently, as directed by the Head of School Commitment to the principles of equity, diversity and inclusion, and ability to contribute to the diversity of the School community To be successful at Level C we are additionally seeking:
Demonstrated ability to win competitive research funding Demonstrated ability to attract and supervise postgraduate students Substantial record of success in effective teaching as a course coordinator using evidence-based pedagogy that promotes student attainment Record of successful curriculum development, pedagogical innovation or leadership roles in teaching and learning operations Ability to lead administrative duties effectively and efficiently, as directed by the Head of School Enjoy an outstanding career environment
