We are seeking to employ suitably qualified Lecturers in Nutrition and Dietetics who are talented educators with a passion for and demonstrated excellence in teaching and research.
Your key responsibilities will be to :
undertake independent teaching and apply research or scholarly activity to enhance educational practices and outcomes-specifically teaching undergraduate students in nutrition and postgraduate students in nutrition and dietetics
conduct original research independently or as part of a team, focusing on publication, conference presentations, and securing research funding
engage in high-quality teaching and learning experiences which meet the university's expectations and standards for education including delivery of lectures, seminars, tutorials online and in person
develop innovative teaching approaches and evaluate teaching and learning effectiveness for continuous improvement
carry out administrative tasks and contribute to faculty/school meetings
contribute to a positive workplace culture in which diversity of thought, contribution, collaboration, excellence and achieving outcomes are valued and enabled
understand and contribute to furthering the university and faculty/school strategic agenda
build a professional profile through participation in conferences, seminars, and outreach activities
engage in translational research and establish collaborations for research, development, commercialisation, and policy improvement
About you PhD in Nutrition and Dietetics
Accredited Practising Dietitian with Dietitians Australia
proven experience conducting original research and engaging in scholarly activity in the area of public health nutrition research or health services delivery and a developing research profile in your area of expertise
demonstrated experience in teaching and learning within an established program in nutrition and/or dietetics and in a variety of settings relating to public health and nutrition or relevant health services delivery
proven experience in designing, implementing and evaluating teaching and learning initiatives
a developing network of academic, industry and professional partners and stakeholders
strong communication skills confident in delivering presentations and in communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
