Reporting to our Chief Human Resources Officer and part of the People & Culture Leadership team, you will bring highly developed expertise to help shape our organisational culture and deliver learning and organisational development initiatives that enable our leaders and our people to excel.
About the Position The Learning & Organisational Development Lead is both a strategic and implementation role responsible for leading Council's learning and organisational development strategy and initiatives. This critical role will support the design of strategies and programs which enhance the organisation's preferred culture by enhancing leadership capability and employee experience, through contemporary and innovative thinking.
This highly visible partnering role will work with the business to understand needs, emerging challenges and will spearhead key projects in Diversity and Inclusion, Cultural uplift and Leadership Development. You will also ensure that new employees are supported through effective onboarding, provide targeted training to enhance employee capabilities, and actively promote workforce engagement through program design and delivery. Alongside your day-to-day activities, you will be instrumental in supporting the implementation of a new learning management system that will be fully integrated with our new Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
Who We Are Looking For We are seeking an experienced and passionate Learning & Organisational Development professional with a proven track record in learning and organisational development. The ideal candidate will possess:
Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline. Extensive experience in a similar role. Excellent planning, team leadership and resource management skills. Adeptness in anticipating changes and developing strategic responses to meet business requirements and objectives. High levels of emotional intelligence to foster collaborative relationships at all levels. Demonstrated technical knowledge relevant to the role. Previous system implementation experience an advantage. The successful candidate will have the capacity to think creatively, engage effectively with diverse stakeholders, and drive initiatives that contribute to the continuous growth and learning culture within the Council.
