Job Description: We have a role for an experienced Learning and Development Superintendent for our Daunia Operations who will be responsible for actively managing the regulatory and compliance training requirements of the site as well as leading the development and delivery of key strategic learning and development initiatives. Reporting into the General Manager of the site and working closely with the QLD L&D Manager, this role involves working closely with various internal and external stakeholders, including site departments, the site Senior Leadership Team, Contractors and Industry experts.
What You'll Do Demonstrate and instil an overriding commitment to ensuring the legislative compliance of the site through consistent monitoring, maintenance and delivery of legislative requirements such as the Site Training Scheme, TNA and applicable aspects of the SHMS. Communication of relevant changes to legislation to stakeholders and engaging with applicable teams to ensure timely updates of site documents to reflect. Monitor and look for improvement opportunities of the Learning Management System to ensure ease of use for stakeholders while ensuring adequate record keeping. Prepare submissions and manage technologies within budget constraints. Conduct Training Needs Analysis for site departments and deliver consistent feedback to teams, ensuring they are provided sufficient information to enable them to actively maintain current competency and compliance. Manage and further develop the onboarding process, to ensure consistent delivery to all stakeholders, their roles, responsibilities and expectations while working at WHC. Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to positively drive engagement, motivate teams and influence culture. What You'll Bring Current Cert IV Training and Assessment (mandatory) S123/G2 (mandatory) Establish and Maintain Risk Management System (G3) (advantageous) MSIA Legislation Training (advantageous) Proven experience in senior learning and development roles within the QLD mining industry Strong knowledge of QLD Coal Mining Legislation Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate across a large range of internal and external stakeholders of all levels. Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS) Strong understanding of adult learning principles Proficiency in MS Office, Microsoft Excel and familiarity with training software and tools.
