It is therefore a genuine occupational requirement under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991.About The RoleAs a key member of the ATSICHS Brisbane team, the Traineeship Mentor plays a crucial role in coordinating ATSICHS Brisbane's traineeship program. The primary purpose of this position is to support and guide trainees to help them successfully complete their Certificate level qualification. This role involves overseeing the onboarding process, coordinating training activities, and providing comprehensive support throughout the traineeship. The Mentor ensures that trainees receive wrap-around support, guidance, resources, and encouragement, fostering their development.DutiesLead the mentoring program for Indigenous Employment and Training Programs.Monitor the progress of trainees through face-to-face and non-face-to-face contact to support safe and successful completion of traineeships.Discuss future workforce needs with current employers to ascertain potential employment opportunities.Work collaboratively with Managers to negotiate positive outcomes where differences arise between the workplace and trainees and assist in resolving trainee issues.Manage and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including liaising with schools, job active networks, apprenticeship agencies and RTOs to support the recruitment, enrolment, and successful completion of traineeships.Work in ways that foster connections and enable transparency and collaboration across teams, IUIH, and stakeholders.CultureEnjoy working in an organisation that makes a difference in the community.
