This comprehensive service includes the maintenance of buildings, workshops, fleet, and stores; civil infrastructure such as drainage, footpaths, and waste management; and the care of parks, landscapes, and open spaces.
Specialized teams handle everything from arboriculture and turf management to pest control and security, while also responding to emergencies and maintaining contracts for features like reserve maintenance and cemetery services.
Field Services plays a crucial role in supporting a vibrant and sustainable community.
Key Responsibilities:Lead the Council's Tree Maintenance Team, utilizing your expertise in arboriculture to ensure efficient pruning operations and contribute to high-quality open spaces for the community.Provide accurate details on resources and materials needed for operational success.Maintain equipment in a clean, safe, and serviceable condition according to best practices.Assist in creating, implementing, and monitoring work schedules and programs for tree maintenance and other services.Help prioritize and schedule resources and work crews for both programmed and reactive services.Liaise proactively with internal and external customers to identify and plan service delivery.Ensure all works comply with relevant legislation and operational standards.Minimum Requirements:Certificate III or equivalent in Horticulture.24 months minimum experience in tree maintenance operations.EWP license.Comprehensive Benefits Package:Employees at City of Salisbury enjoy a robust benefits package including income protection insurance for personal illnesses or injuries, health and wellness programs designed to support their overall well-being including skin checks, health seminars, flu vaccinations, and free access to counselling sessions for you or your immediate family through our Employee Assistance Programs.
