Details of the offer

Want to bring ideas to life? As an engineer, you're no doubt aware of Aurecon - we've been a leading design, engineering, and advisory company for decades.
But why should you choose to join us? Every project Aurecon delivers leaves a legacy.
Every project has sustainability embedded in decision-making.
Aurecon is playing a central role in Australia's energy transition and every project is at the leading-edge of technical eminence.
But it really comes down to one, crucial question: what kind of world do you want to create for the next generation? The truth is that the decisions being made right now will determine the future of everything - from the local community to the entire planet.
One of those decisions is: who do you decide to work for? How will your ideas contribute to shaping what's next? As our Lead Transmission Engineer for our clients' projects in Western Australia (based in Perth), you'll play an integral part in a team of highly skilled specialists that 'bring ideas to life' for our clients.
Situated in our Energy Practice, you will work across a multi-disciplinary team of professionals across Australia on a wide variety of projects of our Energy & Industrial service group, getting exposure to the most exciting major projects in Western Australia's energy and resources sectors and other challenging projects across Australia.
Your role will include: Developing and optimising designs for transmission projects to meet client needs, including working with civil and mechanical engineers to optimise line and tower selection for transmission projects in the 66 k V to 500 k V range.
Providing transmission tower designs and advice to electricity networks including Western Power and Horizon Power, and other Australian transmission businesses in accordance with the relevant Australian and local standards.
Working closely with and providing technical advice to Aurecon's planning and community consultation teams to support route selection in accordance with environmental and development constraints.
Advising clients on network planning and connection of renewable and energy storage projects.
Applying software and tools to undertake feasibility and conceptual design studies.
Supporting transmission construction as required, including providing support to clients during the construction stage.
Being responsive to client's needs and maintaining a reputation for quality and timely advice, working closely with cross-functional project teams and project managers to support client needs and financial decisions.
Providing technical leadership to team members and the ability to work in cross-functional teams to support the diverse project requirements of our clients.
Western Australia is at the forefront of the energy transition globally.
We know today's complex challenges can only be solved through bringing together diverse teams of people from across our business.
What are we looking for from you? You'll have a genuine passion for re-imagining problems and continuous learning to help shape the future: We value that each of our team members brings something different to Aurecon.
Reporting to our Energy Practice Leader for WA and the NT, we are looking for an experienced senior engineer with: A bachelor degree qualification and experience in electrical and/or power systems engineering.
Experience in transmission projects in Western Australia and/or the Northern Territory as a consultant, developer, owner, or contractor in the energy and/or mining or resources sector.
Experience with relevant standards for transmission lines and related primary equipment.
Strong technical capability and report writing skills.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive and trusting relationships with clients (consulting experience is desirable).
We look for people who have had a broad range of experiences throughout their career and those who actively seek out continuous learning.
In this role, you will get the chance to be part of industry-leading innovative projects in an increasingly challenging technical environment.
