Lead Project Controller

We are currently seeking a Lead Project Controller who will be responsible for maintaining an overview of allocated projects, ensuring business processes and procedures are followed, generating accurate management information, and providing essential services, advice, and expertise to Bid Managers and Project Managers to ensure successful project delivery.
Within the overall remit, the Lead Project Controller will handle more complex projects within the portfolio. The role also includes line management responsibilities such as supporting, guiding, coaching, and training existing Project Controller colleagues. This position can be based in Adelaide, Perth, or other locations where we have offices, for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities In this role, you will:
Ensure budgets and schedules are updated to reflect actual contract content, and record these updates as the Project Baseline. Lead the setup and record project details within management information systems. Record bid-stage project information and feedback accurately in management systems. Support bidding teams with work breakdown structures, budgeting, and scheduling services related to bid-stage activities. Document and reflect project developments and evolutions with prompt updates to management systems. Lead and mentor the project delivery team, monitoring performance against schedules and milestones. Monitor delivery against contracts and manage potential or actual contract variations according to contractual provisions and PMO processes. Archive project-control related materials systematically. Record and assess project-related learning for continuous feedback and improvement. About you To succeed in this role, you should:

Be confident in data manipulation, management information systems, and MS Excel. Have a developmental mindset, striving for continuous improvement. Hold qualifications and experience as a Project Manager. Be capable of organizational training in project management. Have experience managing and mentoring a team as a lead.
