Lead Boilermaker / Warehouse Supervisor

We have been operating for more than 35 years and take care of our team. We pride ourselves on the quality of our work and support of the community in South-East Queensland.THE ROLEWe are looking for a warehouse supervisor / lead boilermaker to lead the team in the warehouse. This role is a leadership position and reports directly in to the manager. You will from time to time be needed on the tools, but we really want someone who can get the best out of the team.Key Duties:Effectively lead a small team delivering projects for the business based in the warehouse and on site around SE Queensland with the team;Look after procurement of relevant items for projects;Read and interpret technical drawings and plans with precision;Project manage a number of simultaneous projects for the business, making sure all are running as timely and efficiently as possible;Assist in the fabrication of steel and aluminium structures;Work in the warehouse as well as on site in SE Queensland Resolve and troubleshoot issues with projects and stall fairly and effectively;Collaborate with project managers, clients, subcontractors and other stakeholders; andWork well with management to support business goals.Skills and ExperienceProven experience as a boilermaker or installer with expertise in steel and/or aluminium;Leadership experience or the ability to effectively lead a team;Decent computer proficiency (experience with Simpro highly regarded);Good communication skills and the ability to manage difficult conversations;Strong organisational and project management skills;Great time management;The ability to work independently and make effective decisions without supervision;White card / blue card; andDriver's licence.We are a small and tight knit team and would love to support a new leader in the business.
