The RoleALS Water operates a modern laboratory in Scoresby, equipped with the latest in analytical technology. This is a casual opportunity for a Laboratory Technician with chemistry credentials to join our client-focused team in a Tuesday-Saturday shift role, 10am - 6pm.The successful applicant will receive training and support in the technical components and procedures of the role and in a wide variety of processes associated with working in a modern laboratory.
The Day to Day Manual handling up to 15 kgs - traysPreparation and analysis of water and soil samplesCompleting tasks accurately, within set timeframesOrganising daily work to optimise efficiency and meet turnaround requirementsMaintaining equipment, including calibration and cleaningContributing to a clean, tidy and organised lab environmentAssisting with ad-hoc sampling, sample receipt and housekeeping tasksThe Essentials One year's relevant experience (a degree or diploma preferred)Good communication and interpersonal skillsHigh level attention to detailGood chemical knowledgeAbility to work autonomously or in a teamAbility to plan and organise workAbility to complete manual handling tasksJudgement and problem-solving skillsClient service focusPositive attitude to safety requirementsAppropriate level of aptitude on the tests allocatedHow to ApplyPlease apply online and provide a cover letter and CV that best demonstrate your motivation and ability to meet the requirements of this role.
