The Song Room invites Koorie musicians and music educators on Bunurong Country in the Mornington area to join the team as part of its Deadly Arts project in primary schools.About the roleThe Koorie Teaching Artist/s will lead the delivery of a 7-week Deadly Arts program in three primary schools in the Mornington area in early 2025. Deadly Arts exists to ensure that students have access to Koorie arts, histories, and cultural learning as a valued part of their learning and life at school. By learning through The Arts, Music Victorian Curriculum (F-6) Learning Areas, students will develop an understanding of:Aboriginal and Torres Histories and Cultures Cross-Curriculum PriorityCritical and Creative Thinking; Intercultural; Personal and Social Capabilities.About youPrevious experience delivering music education programs in primary schools, or equivalent experience in a community or professional contextPrevious experience, knowledge, and expertise delivering music education or music projects on Bunurong country.A qualification in Education, Music, or equivalent community and/or professional experienceA current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or with employee status, or ability to get one and/or VIT registration.How to applyTo apply for this role, email your resume and a cover letter to ******.
