At C&K Yuingi, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional dining experiences to our young learners, and we're looking for a motivated Kitchenhand to join our team. Welcome to C&K Yuingi Community Child Care Centre , where your child will feel safe, make friends and belong. We are proud of our spacious natural outdoor learning environment which has real trees, grass, dirt, leaves, and wildlife such as native birds and possums nesting in the trees. Our nature-based playground inspires challenging and open-ended play where children are provided with uninterrupted time to explore and engage in learning. You'll be joining the C&K Yuingi Childcare Centre as a Kitchenhand, working five days a week from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (25 hours per week), with a 30-minute break each day. Your role offers a consistent schedule, allowing you to make a meaningful impact on the children's daily meals.
What you'll bring
To thrive and succeed in this role, we would love you to have:
Valid Blue Card and current Police Check (within three months or willingness to obtain these – C&K will cover the cost). A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or related discipline) and Quality Food Supervisor Certificate is ideal, but we are happy to consider unqualified applicants with experience. Previous experience in Kitchenhand for young children or within a large commercial kitchen, plus knowledge of menu planning for dietary and nutritional requirements.
