The role An exciting opportunity is open for a leader to support the team part time at Kids' Uni CBD, working 2 days per week (Thursday and Friday). This key role will see you sharing responsibility to manage the day to day operations of the centre, ensuring compliance with policies, regulations and legislation, as well as guiding, mentoring and managing a team of 20-25 staff. This position is offered on a maximum term contract for 12 months, to cover a period of parental leave.
You will be responsible for driving and implementing Kids' Uni's philosophical approaches to curriculum and teaching practices. You will work alongside an incredibly experienced and knowledgeable leadership team to drive quality initiatives within the service.
You will be a strong advocate for your team and the children and families in your care, working closely with the leadership team to ensure the best interests of staff, children and families are front of mind in all decision making. You will be the escalation point at the service for any concerns, issues or complaints and will be confident in resolving them.

Birthday leave – a paid day off to celebrate your birthday.Generous leave entitlements including concessional leave, which means you'll get 3 days off between Christmas Day and New Years Eve without using your annual leave and an additional 5 days of sick leave in your first year of employment that continues to accrue after 12 months (pro rata in line with part-time working arrangement).17.5% annual leave loading (paid pro rata based on 4 weeks of annual leave per year).Salary packaging available, including the ability to salary sacrifice campus parking and a gold gym membership with UniActive for only $2 per week.Requirements Qualified with a Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.Demonstrated experience in taking initiative within your room/team and driving practice change within an early childhood setting.Strong leadership skills and ability to coach and mentor staff.High level problem solving skills, with confidence in reacting and responding to emergency situations, tight deadlines and parent concerns.Knowledge of regulatory and legislative requirements in the operation of an Early Childhood Education and Care Service and the ability to maintain these at all times.Ability to work flexible hours to meet the operational demands of the centre, as needed.To apply, please respond to the applications questions and submit a copy of your resume with two references.
