Junior Medical Officer

The Sydney Private Hospital comprises of 5 Main theatres, Eye Theatres, 90 Clinical Beds, day only rehabilitation program, hydrotherapy.
Specialties include orthopaedics, ophthalmology, general, bariatric, gynaecology, ENT, urology and plastic surgery.
Located in the heart of Ashfield, Sydney, the hospital is surrounded by leafy gardens, several heritage buildings and is 10 minutes away from the CBD.
The Hospital is well positioned for public transport by both bus and train lines with free on-site parking for staff.
The Role The primary focus of the role will be to provide in-patient care for our busy Rehabilitation and Surgical Units.
In this role you will be supported by the Surgeons, Rehabilitation Consultants and a dynamic team of experienced Nursing, Allied Health and Administrative staff.
Admit new patients and follow up previous admissionsAttend to Discharge scripts and paperworkAttend medication charts & medical record documentationLiaise with Specialist, Surgeons, Clinical Services Manager and nursesAttend to inpatients requiring careFlexible working hours including after hours workSKILLS AND EXPERIENCE We are seeking a self-motivated, enthusiastic, professionalAdvanced life support skillsDemonstrate highly developed customer service orientationAHPRA registration with Prescriber Number (or ability to obtain same)Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.Australian Citizenship or appropriate Visa.Demonstrated skills in reviewing and documenting patient admissions, management plans and discharge summaries.A current Police records check and Working With Children check is required for this position.HOW TO APPLY Please click on the APPLY button and submit your resume and CV.
