About the Role

The Junior Lawyer will play a key role in supporting the Chief Information & Security Officer with commercial contract review and risk assessment.
Your responsibilities will include analysing and drafting commercial contracts, ensuring they meet legal standards and align with company policies.
The Junior Lawyer will conduct thorough risk assessments by identifying potential legal implications and advising on mitigation strategies.
Additionally, the role involves maintaining accurate records of contracts and associated documentation, summarizing key terms for internal stakeholders, and assisting in negotiations as needed.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities are essential for success in this position.
What you will bring Experience analysing and reviewing commercial contracts to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with company policies.Experience summarising key contract terms and conditions for internal and external stakeholders.Experience assisting in drafting and revising contracts as needed.Experience identifying potential risk associated with contract terms and advising on mitigation strategies.Experience conducting legal research related to contractual obligations and compliance issues.Experience collaborating with internal teams to assess risk exposure and propose solutions.Experience maintaining records of contracts and relevant correspondence.Experience preparing reports on contract status and risk assessments for management review.Experience assisting in the development of contract templates and guidelines.In addition to the above you will have; Strong attention to detailExceptional both written and verbal communication skillsStrong organisational skillsBe a critical thinkerStrong in-depth understanding of legal proceduresAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentAbility to show ethical judgementQualifications Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree or a Juris Doctor (JD)Please note applicants will need to be Australian Citizens due to the restrictions of work.
This role is also a 6 month fixed-term contract with the view to go permanent for the right candidate.
