Epicentre Engineers Pty Ltd is looking for talented individuals to join our team as Junior Design Engineer (Multiple Roles in Hydraulic, Fire, Electrical & Mechanical). You will play an essential role in our engineering and drafting teams to obtain successful outcomes and deliver exceptional documentation for clients. You will work in a vital role responsible for tracking the progress and delivery of documentation.
You will require a highly collaborative and communicative approach to work with engineering and drafting teams across Australia. Awareness of operational principles, collaboration, and coordination with other engineering disciplines is essential to achieve high-quality design solutions for our clients.
General DutiesDirection from Senior Engineers & Operations ManagerCompletion of reports and submissions for management as requiredDesign WorkDesign and documentation for mechanical services for all facets of industry as per the projects provided.Act as Design Engineer on selected projects, including acting as the design interface for all meetings, coordination, and reviews as necessary.Ensure that the validation procedure of the project has occurred before the project leaves the premises.Ensure that other engineers and junior designers' projects are validated before leaving the premises.Report writing as required.Construction Phase WorkLiaise with Contractors and Sub-Contractors to address construction-related issues.Review technical submissions by Contractors and Sub-Contractors against the specified requirements.Review the quality of construction against the specified requirements.Attend site meetings as appropriate and report on the status of the work and any items of concern.Undertake Construction Administration on projects designed by Epicentre and as otherwise instructed.MarketingActively market Epicentre's services through project involvement, including contacting and visiting potential clients.TrainingTake part in industry training as required.Identify areas where training would be of assistance and of benefit to the company.Quality AssuranceEnsure the quality system is implemented and maintained on all projects.Ensure the highest standards are maintained at all times.Inform Senior Engineers or Operations Manager of issues on projects which may progress to Professional Indemnity claims as soon as the matter arises.Perform all tasks in accordance with the current Standards and regulations governing the parameters of the project.Make all endeavours to ensure the company is not placed in a litigious position due to engineering malpractice.Experience/Skills RequirementsMinimum 1-2 years' experience must be in a graduate engineer position.Must have a minimum of 1 year of building services consultancy experience.Has a sound knowledge of multi-discipline engineering methodology and best practices.Is proficient in relevant engineering software packages, AutoCAD and Revit preferred.Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and orally.Knowledge of regulations and standards pertaining to the industry.Strong workplace principles.Ability to meet deadlines.Demonstrated good judgment skills and decision-making abilities. #J-18808-Ljbffr
