POSITION PURPOSE The junior accountant will report directly to the accountant and finance manager, and you will be part of a small high performing team where you will gain exposure to a wide range of finance functions including financial accounting, management accounting, tax and day to day operations.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to develop your technical and professional skills on the job as well as full support to complete your CA as an Approved Training Employer (ATE) with Chartered Accountants ANZ.
Located on the outskirts of Parramatta CBD, this position will be based at the Rydalmere head office with newly renovated modern facilities and on-site parking.
This role offers a competitive salary, 12 RDO's a year and eligibility for profit share after 12 months of service.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Key duties include:
Assist with the preparation of the monthly management reports (month end journals, variance analysis, integrity checks, report distribution)Support the preparation of the subsidiary company accountsAssist in preparing annual budgets and variance analysisMaintenance of the fixed asset register and motor vehicle fleet administrationGeneral Ledger maintenance (integrity checks, coding of transactions and balance sheet reconciliations)Assist in maintaining cashflow forecastExposure and involvement in ad-hoc projects from all areas within Finance and AdministrationAssist with the preparation of year end audit work papers and liaising with external auditorsWork proactively with the Finance and Administration team to drive process improvementSKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE Undertaking or recently completed a commerce or business degree, with a major in accountingA focused drive to completing the CA qualificationExcellent organisational skills with a high attention to detailBe a strong team playerStrong analytical skillsA positive and motivated approach to learningClear and effective written and verbal communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills when engaging with both internal and external clientsAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlinesAbsolute integrity and discretion with very high ethical standardsAbility to learn software applications and financial accounting applicationsFlexibility and persistence, with a positive and approachable demeanor #J-18808-Ljbffr
