The Role:
As a Junior Accountant, you'll play a valuable role in supporting the team with a broad spectrum of accounting and taxation services, along with developing advisory responsibilities under the guiding supervision of a seasoned manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting in Tax Compliance: Aid in the preparation of Income Tax Returns, Business Activity Statements (BAS), and associated documents, adhering to Australian tax laws and regulations.
Financial Reporting: Contribute to crafting financial statements like profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring precision and compliance with accounting standards. General Ledger Maintenance: Support in maintaining precise and up-to-date general ledger records, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and discrepancy resolutions. Client Interaction: Engage with clients to collect essential financial information, address inquiries, and offer assistance as needed, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction. Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software like MYOB, QuickBooks, and Xero to manage client accounts, process transactions, and generate financial reports efficiently. Professional Development: Actively participate in continuous professional development initiatives such as training sessions, seminars, and certifications to enhance technical competencies and knowledge in accounting. Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve departmental objectives, exchange expertise and best practices, and foster a positive and supportive work atmosphere. To excel in this role, you should:
Possess a minimum of 1 year of relevant accounting experience; underway in CA/CPA highly desirable. Demonstrate robust problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach. Have proficiency in accounting software such as MYOB, QuickBooks, and Xero. Exhibit excellent communication skills and the capacity to engage effectively with clients.
